Borrowing a Ring

Probably the safest course of action would be to take one of her rings to the jewellers without arousing any suspicion. This way the real thing can be sized professionally and consequently the fit of the gift ring should be closest to perfection. This method would be ideal if the ring could be borrowed and returned without her even knowing. Alternatively, you may attribute some excuse to the ordeal, such as by offering to take her jewellery to be cleaned.

Trying it on for Size
